November 5, 2018 (Nashua, NH) – PilotWorkshops has introduced a monthly, scenario-based training program called VFR Mastery®.
Designed for general aviation pilots and students, VFR Mastery utilizes the same structure that has proven successful in the company’s IFR Mastery program. Each month, subscribers face a challenging and realistic scenario designed to test their knowledge and hone their decision-making skills. The structure of VFR Mastery and its use of video, audio, print, quizzes and discussion forum are designed to enhance the learning process and retention.
“We’ve produced over 100 IFR Mastery scenarios since 2010, and during that time we have fine-tuned the development and delivery process to provide a memorable learning experience for thousands of members,” stated PilotWorkshops founder Mark Robidoux. “Over the years, demand has grown for a VFR version that uses the same methodology to help any pilot, regardless of their rating.”
Scenarios are developed by a team of expert instructors, drawing on their years of flying and teaching experience. The programs are delivered online, where the member can track their progress and interact with the instructors. Completed scenarios earn 3 WINGS credits.
“We’ve issued well over 30,000 WINGS course completions to IFR Mastery subscribers and expect the same over time for VFR Mastery members.
These pilots are committed to staying safe and proficient, and scenarios help exercise our aviation decision-making skills when we aren’t in the cockpit,” said Robidoux.
