FAQ about our Products |
Yes. We trust our customers and
have not impaired your ability
to run it on multiple computers.
Please note that the product is
for your own personal use. For
example, if you purchased the
download version you can copy
the files to your desktop and
your
laptop computers.
2. Is the content on the
downloads the same as on the CD
version?
Yes. The only
difference is that the audio
files on the download are MP3
format to reduce download size.
3. I don't have my IFR rating
yet. Will the IFR Proficiency
Series help me?
Yes. If you are training for
your instrument rating, it will
help you become a much better
IFR pilot. But note that this is
NOT
a "how to pass the test" course. There are plenty of
those out there. We recognize
that education does not stop
once you have
the rating, and
that's why we assembled a panel
of experts to provide their best
ideas on becoming a confident,
proficient IFR pilot.
4. I'm not in the USA. Are the
workshops still relevant?
Yes. The focus is on good flying
technique and practices, not
regulation. The Aviation Weather Series does focus primarily on
USA-based online tools. In addition, we
provide a download option which
saves
international customers
any shipping fees and provides
instant access to the product.
Here's a comment from one of our
international customers:
"I'm enjoying the workshops a
lot. They are very
high quality! In particular i
like that i get
insights and stories from
experts which i would
not meet otherwise. Further, I
really like that
your workshops are kept
internationally. I'm from
Europe flying at the moment in
Australia, so i was
a bit afraid that your workshops
would be very
FAA-regulation centric. It's
good to see that you
are aware that you have
customers from other parts
of the world and clearly
separate FAA specific
parts of workshops."
- Olaf M.
5. Can I use the CD audios in my
car?
Yes. Our audio CDs are
playable in any car or home
stereo. In addition you get all
the same audios in MP3 format
for use in any MP3 player.
All products except for the
Aviation Weather Series can be viewed on iPad/iPhone/iPod.

PilotWorkshops.com founder Mark
Robidoux is an instrument-rated
pilot and has been flying since
1996. Before
starting
PilotWorkshops.com, Mark spent 18
years in high-tech, working for two
of the world's leading software
companies. He held a variety of
sales, marketing and executive
management positions during his
career. While
studying for his
instrument rating, Mark noticed
there was little training available
for pilots on the internet. Much
of
his career was spent building,
selling and implementing web based
programs. He was convinced there was
an
opportunity to combine his
passion for aviation with his
knowledge and experience in web
technologies.
In the fall of 2005,
Mark left his high-tech career to
create a world class pilot training
website. His idea grew into the
PilotWorkshops.com web site we have
today.

Jeff Mulligan runs marketing and technology,
including the PilotWorkshop.com
website. During his 20 year career,
Jeff was
senior vice president
of a high-tech ad agency and vice
president of marketing for two
software companies.
Jeff has been
building websites and developing
integrated web marketing campaigns
since 1996. He is a
featured speaker
at national Internet marketing
seminars. |
Marilyn Jones
heads up the design and production of our
workshops. With 1800+ hours
and Commercial, Instrument and CFI
ratings, Marilyn
is an avid pilot
and loves flying her Cessna P210
when she isn't working magic with
her computers. In 1983 Marilyn
founded MicroTraining Associates,
Inc., one of the first e-learning
companies in the nation.
Since then,
she has developed online learning
programs for Fortune 500 companies
including American Express, AT&T,
Fleet Bank,
the Department of
